Infinite Music

So boys and girls I'm gonna keep things simple. I figured over the course of this week I would post some basic stuff of what I'm into and perhaps provide clues for things to come.

Today as you probably guessed we will be discussing music. Though it probably wont be more that just a list of things.

First lets look through the basic genres, start with pop shall we:

Local boys Flight of the Concords would have to be top of my list, fact is a got their new album a couple days ago (highly recommended). We do the comedy thing quite well, see Fred Dagg. Also had the latest from Weezer blasting allot. If your looking to be scared by the Japanese then i would say go for something like Plus-Tech Squeeze Box or perhaps Buono!. Verka Serduchka from the Ukraine does your weird Village People styled pop. Lets throw in Ian Drury for the hell of it. And we'll just sound off Vengaboys, S Club, Electric 6, David Bowie, Robyn and Lilly Allen.

Rock:

Kinda a broad term since there's your hard rock types like Tool, Queens of the Stone Age, 8 Foot Sativa, The Who, Andrew W. K. and System of a down. General rock like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Shihad, Muse, Sum 41, New York Dolls and Guns n Roses. Celtic rock like Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys. Alternative I'd say like Gnarls Barkley and Gorrilaz. Punk there's The Clash and The Ramones. Ska Theres The Specials and Madness. And more Japanese like Koi No Mega Lover and Rin Toshite Shigure. Think that's everything.

(Please note I'm being very general, so dont worry too much about the labels)

The Hip-Hop Section of this will probably be quite short, but i have to say i do love some of it:
Mos-def, Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliot, Outkast and such. You know the ACTUAL hip-hop. None of this autotune Kanye shit or anything. Throw in artist like M.I.A, Beastie Boys and N.E.R.D here cause it seems to work.

Electronic:
I'll just stick to a basic list. Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx, Chemical Brothers, Hot Chip.

I should also mention i listen to allot of older stuff. Elvis, Ray Columbus, Stevie Wonder, Johnny Cash, Earthe Kitt, Carl Orff, Cab Calloway and Louis Armstrong just to give you and idea.

Actually if you can draw a trend from that then i congratulate you.
